Yvel and Friends of Zion share a long-lasting and deeply meaningful partnership. The story of Yvel begins with two people who believed they could make Tikun Olam – in other words, to right the wrong and to give back to the community. Orna and Isaac Levy founded Yvel in 1986, with two primary goals: creating jewelry inspired by Jewish traditions and employing immigrants, struggling to find their way in a new country. The couple is proud that today, over 90% of Yvel’s more than 100 employees are immigrants hailing from 23 countries. Furthermore, they opened a school of jewelry and art, providing Ethiopian immigrants with professional training and facilitating their integration into society. By purchasing Yvel's jewelry, you are taking part in the Tikun Olam.
