David Gerstein is an Israeli-born and world-famous painter, sculptor,
printmaker and more.
Born in 1944 in Jerusalem, the son of parents who emigrated from Poland.
From a very young age, he became passionate about art. Soon after being
released from mandatory military service, he enrolled in the famous and
prestigious Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design based in Jerusalem, which
still exists today.
Later he pursued his studies at the Ecole Nationale Superieure de Beaux-Arts
in Paris and the Saint Martin's School of Art in London.
His unique technique and vision create paintings, sculptures and prints that
look and feel very much alive.
His outdoor sculptures can be found throughout Israel, as well as in
Singapore, Taiwan, South Korea and China.
